Graduation Project
London
2017.
Flowing and unbroken.
Final project for the Planting Design Diploma at the London College of Garden Design.
A proposal for a redesign of an existing garden. The owner is a semi professional art collector. The design is inspired by one of the artpieces. The idea was a garden to display art but the garden is an artpiece on itsself. A garden to wander arround in, to discover, with flowing lines, to go out and explore and come back round. Each part has its own theme and atmosphere, yet they are united in the continuing flowing lines that combine all. And a general colorscheme in Copertones, Whites and Pale yellow with variations in each zone. The rill is a structural element, a waterflow that starts in the forest and flows via the large main lawn ending in the pond near the house. Providing the lifeline to the garden. as one of the stories of the garden that invites the visitor to follow it to go out and discover whats at the end of it.
