An Infinity Lawn Overlooking the Golf Course

A steep drop toward a tall hedge, which blocked the view, made the existing garden feel much smaller than it actually was. In addition, a broken terrace and the lack of any planting called for a complete redesign.

The vision was to open up the space by leveling it and connecting it to the expansive vista of the green golf course, with its beautiful pines. We constructed two retaining walls, creating an “Infinity Lawn” that stretches to the top of the first wall, visually extending across the rolling hills of the golf course.

The sunken planting border on the second level provides a natural barrier, ensuring the garden meets safety regulations without obstructing the view or diminishing the sense of space. A second wall bridges the change in elevation.

Additionally, two terraces and an outdoor hot-water shower were added. A charming, handcrafted pebblestone terrace beneath the shade of an olive tree offers the perfect spot for a quiet afternoon tea for two. A shrub-based planting scheme provides year-round interest.
