Mougins Golf
An inmersive infinity lawn overlooking the golfcourse of Mougins.
The original garden had a drop towards a tall hedge that was blocking the beautiful view onto the golfcourse. and made the garden a lot smaller than it actually is. The general idea was to open up the garden to the large open space with the beautiful pines across the golfcourt by building two retaining walls and levelling the soil. An “Infinity Lawn” will extend to the top of the first wall visually continuing on and over the roling hills of the golfcourse. A sunken plantborder will provide a natural barrier and keep garden complient with safety rules, without blocking the view and the sense of space. Then a 2nd wall bridges the denivellation.
Two terraces and a hotwater outside shower are added. A small handcrafted pebblestone terrace in the shade of the olive tree provides for a nice afternoon tea for two.
